A Red Seal occupational standard is organized into Major Work Activities, broken into tasks and sub-tasks. The exam breakdown gives each MWA a percentage of the questions. For the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic the six are: A, common occupational skills (8%); B, routine trade activities (16%); C, plans installation (13%); D, performs installation (21%); E, performs commissioning (17%); F, performs maintenance and service (25%).
