A refrigerant mixture that boils and condenses like a single substance, with no glide.
An azeotropic blend behaves like a pure refrigerant: it boils at a single temperature for a given pressure and does not separate when vapour is removed. Refrigerants in the R-500 series are azeotropes. A near-azeotrope such as R-410A has a very small glide and is handled almost the same way, although manufacturers still direct liquid charging.
